Hyalite Sml

Hyalite or Jalite is a form of opal that due to its chemical composition lacks the sought after colorful iridescence of its more sought after precious stone relative. Hyalite is unique in its own right, however, especially due to its highly fluorescent or UV reactive nature. Typically found in intricate, botryoidal crystal formations, Hyalite is usually clear but can have some color due to the presence of impurities.
